The Big Making Questions - 5 Day MASTER CLASS
Featuring Robert Dancik & Kristi Zevenbergen
10am – 5pm Adult
Why? Why not? What? How?
We will look at and use the narrative characteristics and possibilities inherent
in materials such as concrete, epoxy resins, rock-like paper pulp mache’,
faux bone®, enhanced plaster and more. Explore processes and procedures that will
allow the use of these materials in combination with personal objects and each other.
Look at traditionally relevant and complementary art forms including fibers and basketry --
and learn to apply weaving, plaiting, braiding, knitting and twining techniques to wire and
metals. As we create jewelry, small sculpture, etc that embodies the totemic
or amulative qualities from which we draw power and meaning.
